Sigen Hybrid EC 3.0 – 8.0 SP
Smart hybrid inverter for maximum energy control
The Sigen Hybrid EC 3 – 8 SP is an advanced single-phase hybrid inverter (energy controller) that seamlessly combines solar energy, battery storage, and grid management. This system forms the core of the modular Sigenergy solution, offering maximum flexibility for both residential and small business applications.
With a power range of 3 to 8 kW, the Sigen Hybrid EC delivers reliable performance for various installations. Thanks to an efficiency of up to approximately 98%+, solar energy is optimally utilized, and losses are minimized.
Battery storage ready
The EC is fully battery-ready and integrates seamlessly with Sigen battery modules. This allows the system to be easily expanded into a complete energy storage system, including backup functionality in case of power outages.
Whisper-quiet and low maintenance
Thanks to the innovative fanless design, the inverter operates almost silently (±25 dB), and wear-prone parts are a thing of the past. This significantly increases reliability and extends lifespan.
Compact and robust
With a slim design (approx. 99 mm deep) and a sturdy metal casing, the EC easily fits into any technical room. The IP66 protection rating ensures that the system is resistant to dust, rain, and extreme temperatures.
⚙️ Smart energy management
The integrated software makes it possible to:
- optimize energy consumption
- utilize dynamic energy tariffs
- control smart devices
- participate in virtual power plants (VPP)
🔌 Flexible installation
- 2 MPPT trackers for optimal yield per roof area
- Suitable for existing and new installations
- Easily expandable within the Sigenergy ecosystem

Operation and functions
-
Hybrid operation: combines solar panels (PV) + battery + grid. The controller determines whether power goes directly to consumption, is first charged to the battery, or is injected into the grid, depending on your settings (maximize self-consumption, minimize costs, etc.).
-
EMS (Energy Management System): intelligent control / software / app (usually via the mySigen app) is provided for monitoring, setting priorities, choosing times, etc.
-
Black start / backup: in case of power failure, the system can switch over so that critical loads continue to operate; some models can deliver peak power for a short time.
-
Oversizing PV input: because you can often connect more solar panels than the AC power ("DC/AC ratio >1"), you can optimize yield in hours with lower irradiation, without the inverter having to continuously operate at full power.
-
Security: extensive security features, such as protection against overvoltage, DC reverse polarity, leakage currents, insulation faults, arc-fault, type II overvoltage, etc.
The integrated EMS automatically optimizes consumption, storage, and grid load. In the event of a power outage, the system switches to backup power within ≤10 ms.
With a built-in EMS (Energy Management System), support for peak shaving, and flexible charge and discharge settings, energy balance is automatically adjusted to consumption, grid status, and storage.
With an IP66 enclosure, silent passive cooling, and real-time monitoring via app or WiFi, the inverter offers reliability, ease of use, and minimal maintenance requirements.
- Businesses may need to employ various types of legal pages on their websites or mobile apps. Some, like Privacy Policies, are required by law, while others, such as a Terms and Conditions agreement (T&C), are not. Regardless of legal demands, you may find that your company needs one or more legal pages for compliance and optimal operation.
- In this article, we will go over the most common legal pages, walk you through a summary of what each requires, and explain why you may need it. In addition, you'll find a sample template for each type of legal page so you can quickly get started writing your own.
